Established in 1882, the New England Water Works Association (NEWWA) is a not-for-profit organization incorporated in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The association is the leading authority on education, training opportunities, and public outreach to protect and improve drinking water and water utility operations. NEWWA continues to be an instrument of change to advance the knowledge, science, government awareness, and public trust of the water works profession.

The NEWWA 2011 Spring Exhibition and Conference takes place March 30-31 at the DCU Center in Worcester, MA. This is NEWWA's largest event that draws thousands of water works professionals. The event features 17 concurrent technical sessions for TCH credit, an exhibit floor with almost 200 vendors, student poster session, networking reception, committee meetings, bookstore, daily raffles, and more.

The 18th annual Maine Recycling & Solid Waste Conference takes place April 25 & 26, at the Point Lookout Resort, Northport, Maine. The conference is presented by the Maine Resource Recovery Association, a non-profit corporation dedicated to fostering professional solid waste management practices, furthering the development of recycling and other forms of resource recovery as cost-effective components of environmentally sound solid waste management in Maine communities and assisting with the marketing of recyclable and reusable materials.

The conference is scheduled only a few days after Earth Day, and we are excited to share how each of us can improve our business practices to help preserve our world.

Martindale Associates will be attending and presenting at the the Federation of New York's Spring Conference and Trade Show, May 1 - 4. The conference attracts over 700 public and private sector solid waste and recycling professionals to a technical program with 90 presentations and an expanded Trade Show.
